Message sources

When you choose a Mac Messages folder or local Finder backup, MessageLedger copies the required database files into its application container before analysis. The snapshot is opened read-only. The app does not send, edit, delete, react to, or otherwise modify conversations.

Local processing

Message text, participants, phone numbers, email addresses, timestamps, relations, attachments, exports, and package manifests are processed on your Mac. Trieflow LLC does not receive this content. There is no account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or message-cloud service.

Exports

You select the destination for each evidence package. Package verification reads only the package you select and compares its current files with its local manifest. MessageLedger does not upload packages for verification.

Mac App Store purchase

If you buy Lifetime Pro, Apple processes the transaction. The app receives entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features. Trieflow does not receive your payment card details.

Support

If you contact support, Trieflow receives your email address and the information you choose to send. Do not attach message databases, transcripts, or private conversation content unless support specifically requests a minimal diagnostic artifact and you agree to share it.

Deletion and contact

You can delete snapshots and exports from your Mac. Because Trieflow does not store them, it cannot remotely delete local copies. Privacy questions can be sent to contact@trieflow.com. The canonical policy is https://messageledger.trieflow.com/privacy.
